This is a pic of Enishi, for the final parts of the Ruroni Kenshin series. I get the feeling that Nicholi might be the only person who even knows who this character is.

My favorite RK character, along with Saito of course. The tiger in the background was a nice touch. Great as usual.

Oh come on...you can't really believe Nicholi to be the ONLY person who knows who Enishi is? After all, he wasn't ONLY featured in the latter part of RK but also in Reflections, the OAV. He's not my favorite character, but he is a very good character. As far as tragic villians go, however, I think I prefer Miss Yume.

Yeah, you are right he was in the reflections, but this didn't show much of him or his style of fighting. He was known as the tiger, in the RK series. I'll be posting more of my Rk fan-art in this thread if that is alright with everyone.

That looks simply amazing, Hanzo. You quite outdid yourself here. Though I can't say I know who Enishi is, I still think it's superb.

Enishi looks like he's a rapper Here's something that I've wondering. I got into RuroKen after the show got taken off and have only read the manga. And there are things in the manga that got 'colored over' for edit reason or to add suspence. Such as, in the anime from what I've heard Shishio holds a knife to Yumi's throat to stop Kenshin. In the manga he actually attacks Kenshin by stabbing Yumi. Was there more to this? Let's have a thread just to discuss anime-manga differences. And Rume nice coloring on the second pic. It's from one of the graphic novels right? well done!

Yeah I used one of the manga for a reference, but I made this my own pic, though.

That looks just as amazing as your last pic, Hanzo. It's very vividly drawn, with nice attention to detail. Nothing less than I've come to expect from you, man. Keep it up.

I'm not sure, Hanson, which scenario you're talking about, but in the Anime, Shishio was overheating and Yume threw herself between Kenshin and Shishio to beg Kenshin to stop fighting him because his body couldn't take the heat any longer. Shishio then stabbed Yume in the back (literally) to get to Kenshin and stabbed him, too. It was really awful, and Kenshin asked Shishio angrily how he could just sacrifice his love like that. Shishio explained that he understood Yume better than anyone, and that he knew she had always detested the fact that she couldn't do anything to help him. She died telling Kenshin and Shishio that she was just happy she was able to finally be of use to him. -Kimato-

And there are things in the manga that got 'colored over' for edit reason or to add suspence. I don't recall any scenes in the manga being edited. The english translation of Rurouni Kenshin is the direct translation. By the way Hanson, have you picked up volume 17 yet? If so, what do you think about the start of the new story arc?
Hanzo, you should post a link to your photobucket gallery. There ares some great pics in there. I'm fond of the Elfen Lied and Vampire Hunter D pics myself.

Ah, then the anime and the manga are the parallel in the area of Yumi's destruction, at least.
And as far as the editing, I myself have never seen the anime but most animes are just watered down versions of the manga.
And I have gotten volume 17!!! The Shishio/Kenshin fight was most excellent! But the Enishe arc won't start until vol 18, which I have not recieved.

My mistake. I meAnt to put "18" instead of "17". The Kyoto arc is wrapped up at the begining of 18 and the next arc begins after about 2 chapters. As for most anime being watered down versions of the manga, this is sometimes true. In the case of Kenshin, the manga has more gore and blood than the anime. What you've seen however is an edited version of the show where blood, language and suggestive content is removed. UnfortunaTEly, this is what happens to most anime that air on TV. The only station that dosen't edit anything is Anime Network.
