"Indeed. Farewell, and good luck, comrade."
*With the short dialogue over, Argis goes his respective way, as does Whitakker. Whitakker makes his way over to the "parking garage", more or less, hidden adequately by the billowing smoke produced in the aftermath of Thanatos' initial attack. Whitakker reaches the garage, and finds the front door locked. How rude, locking the door when guests are here...Whitakker pulled out his revolver and blew the lock off. Kicking the door open, Whitakker entered the room. Whitakker's eyes were first greeted by a sizeable array of vehicles, ranging from bulky off-roaders, to speedy motorcycles. Good...nice selection to choose from. The next thing that greeted Whitakker's optics were close to a dozen men tinkering and repairing the assorted vehicles. At the initial break-in, the "mechanics" were startled by the massive explosion they heard outside. When Whitakker forced his way in, hood still covering his eyes, sword now drawn, the already unnerved men saw the very spectre of death. The whole scenario made for very good psychological trauma. Startled out of their wits, the grimy group of men fumbled for their weapons, all firearms ranging from shotguns to handguns, and everything in between.
"Hi ya, fellas."
With that, Whitakker sprang into action, slashing left and right, felling two men in the blade's immediate reach. Whitakker heard the sound of bullets and shells being loaded into chambers, as the shock wore off of the men. Whitakker turned and ducked, his sword arcing up towards a shotgun barrel leveled at Whitakker's original standing position. Whitakker's blade met the barrel, and the aegisite edge made quick work of the shotgun. After disabling the man's firearm, Whitakker reversed the blade's path, and thrust it into the man's stomach. Whitakker then felt a shot of pain in his back, as a handgun bullet made contact with his body. But the aegisite-lined trenchcoat caught the bullet, never allowing it to pierce the skin. Quickly recovering from the pain, Whitakker launched himself into the air, twisting in mid-air and lopping off the attacker's head as he came down to the ground. Several more rounds were fired at Whitakker, but he had positioned his blade in front of him, and the bullets deflected off of the redefined steel. Whitakker quickly took a second to evaluate his surroundings. Four men were dead, with seven men left to go. Whitakker looked up, and saw a crane arm above the battle. The arm was attached to the framework, and restrained by a steel cable. Without putting conscious thought into his plan, Whitakker pulled out his gun, took aim, and fired at the cable. His aim was dead-on. The cable snapped, and the arm screeched against the metal framework as it wrenched free and plummeted down to earth. Whitakker dove behind a car for cover. The sound of metal hitting concrete was deafening. After the noise had subsided, Whitakker peeked over the car to view the damage. Four men were broken asunder, caught directly under the crane arm's path to ground level. The three remaining men had dove out of the way just in time. Whitakker got up out of his cover, and assumed a battle stance, as the three men got up, picking up their weapons. Whitakker quickly sheathed his sword, and drew his sawblades, and sent them flying at two of the men. The blades made contact with their weapons, sending them flying out of their hands, leaving a painful stinging vibration in their hands. Whitakker wasted no time in drawing his gun and firing two shots into their heads. The last man charged Whitakker, and slammed his body into Whitakker's, sending him flying towards the wall. Deftly twisting his body, Whitakker planted his feet into the wall, and propelled himself back at the man, twisting his body back and slamming the man with his feet, sending the man sprawling to the ground. Whitakker landed on his feet, drew his sword, and planted it into the man's chest. Whitakker sheathed his sword, retrieved his sawblades, and went over to a burly off-road vehicle(looks a lot like a open-top Humvee). Whitakker loaded several drums of gasoline into the back, and drove off out of the garage, hunting for Thanatos and Syrant.*

*Argis pulls out his gun, pushes the button as the gun assumes the crossbow form. Argis then fiddles with a small quartz rock as the moon catches it, it projects a small pinprick on a man out near the top of the wall just standing hanging his head over the wall looking at a small animal. The light heads to the temple as it hits it target Argis squeezes the trigger the man doesn’t even flinch as the bolt pierces his head. The man falls off the wall on to the ground. *Argis reaches in to his side pocket and grabs two odd items they look like a pair of bear-like metal claws. He attach them to his feet and started to climb up the wall. Argis slips over the wall quickly and quietly as you can imagine. The first guard was on patrol as he walked past Argis (in some sort on day dream) Argis crawls along the wall, and then in a instant Argis leaps grabbing the face of the man and quickly breaks the mans neck. A man run towards Argis still in shock he starts to suck in air to scream when a shurriken Argis moves quickly towards the gate room. The wall started to get dark as torches started to be smothered. Argis Arrives to the gate house and two guards are sitting there playing cards. (Guards prospective) one laughs in joy and then quickly says “man I got a bad hand. “ ”Man you suck at bluffing…what was that.” A shadow out of the corner of the mans eye vanishes He looks its gone then they start to play again when a load crash is heard and the wall shakes they both get up to look out side to see part of the wall fell in the distance. “what the hell.. Happened over there…“He looks over to see his partner to find he is not there. ”Ben where *turns around* did…did oh my god.” He sees his partner laying on the ground in a small pool of blood (guards prospective ends). Argis the falls from the ceiling on the man and makes very quick work. He then hit the weight to cause the gate door to open. When the gate opens Argis is standing there to greet Whittaker. Argis makes a grim, sad comment to him before heading off “let the kill fest begins.”
Argis walks in to the barracks to find guards strewn everywhere. Some still standing with a river of blood trickling from their decapitated heads. Others hung on walls with varies thing holding them up like forkes medal chair legs.
“I’m guessing your full Mass now Mina come on out.”
A small click is heard and Argis moves his hand up to catch a small needle heading for his neck.
“So I guess I have to come up then.”
Argis jumps on the wall then flips on to a low hang bar he then says.
“I see you Mass….Now get out of her this moment
“Now why would I do that you see I like it here she has been trained well.”
“Now! You let her go or I grant her wish for her to stop feeling endless pain, stop killing innocent people. *Tear rolls down his cheek*
“Hahahaha now I see she meant something to you oh well now it is suiting for us to kill you.”
Argis jumps and draws sword. Mina grabs her twin tantos with a quick slice both fall to the ground land in the ground Argis falls forwards in a roll and jump straight up slicing towards Mina. Mina blocks and kicks Argis flies up spins and land on his feet Mina jumps up trying to get behind Argis. Argis Jumps higher and kick Mina in the chest she falls he point his sword down as he fall towards the earth. In a flash both slam weapons towards each other. Both contort themselves in weird ways to dodge. Mina kicks Argis legs out the sword he carries id flung from his hand and the blades head for Argis head he gabs both in one hand and spins, prying the tantos from her hands he then spin kicks the feet from her. She does a back flip and performs a spinning heel kick at his head. Argis ducks to then rise up knock Mina off balance she falls then does a scissor kick throwing Argis to the ground she then rolls when she was about to dislocate the knees she stops for just a second. Then Argis reacts by speeding his legs apart and slides out from her grip. She gets to her feet the same time he does. She says “She saved you there but don’t count on that again.”
“Last chance get out now.”
“No.”
Argis begins to assault her again this time quicker and stronger than before. He pounces 5 times then does a jump inside crescent kick to her head. She tried to dodge but no use it hits she flies on to the aluminum wall dents it, and falls to the floor. Argis walks over to pick her up when a sharp pain is felt like a bee sting in his neck. He then sees a small tube pointing at him from the face of Mina
“Ha you fell for it, I do have to say you caught me off guard with that kick but I won. I also have to say you where the best opponent I have fought in a long time now let it take affect for when you wake you will be One of us.”
Mina Walks over to inspect her pray. As Argis falls to the ground.
“that’s was easy hahaha you little friend couldn’t even win against me.”
Then in a flash Argis jumps up spins around Mina sends a flurry of blows to her back then grabs the neck of Mina pinches And she goes limp, Argis lets her down gently he get up is about to sheath his sword. When Mina does a hand stand and wraps her legs around Argis. Then throws him on to the ground she jumps does a back flip and places feet first towards Argis.
“now die.”
Argis rolls up and nearly misses the blow. He gets up and performs a spinning back fist to Mina. She dodges and grabs the hand then does a side kick to Argis ribs then throws him in to the wall where Argis spins and plants his feet and pushes off heading for Mina. She ducks and Argis flies pas then rolls and grabs one of the tantos then throws it straight towards her then he grabs the other with a kick then grabs it and spins then tossing it towards her she blocks the first one when the second slams in to her stomach. She flies in to the wall Argis walks over to Mina. He grabs his sword.
“you beet me Hashanaha *control is lost* Argis finish me please before she does some to kill both of us”
“No there has to be a way to get rid of it with out killing you.
“There isn’t please finish me! I’m tried of the killing the slaughtering the pain I caused please…
*Argis’s mind races* there must be a way. No theres not now grant her, her wish. I can’t, you must..
I’m sorry Mina I am so sorry I let this happen to you *raises swords heart level* I will destroy the mass al of them *tears start to fall* Good bye I will see you in Halderum (underworld)*sord precise heart and Mina’s head goes limp. *she dies*
Argis lets his blade drop he falls to the ground to weak to hold him self up.
“I’m sorry I so, so sorry”
Argis get up and wraps Minas body in a silk blanket then ties is he picks her up and walks out of the building he turns around and pulls out a small bomb he got from a guard he then proceeds to walk he hit’s a small barrel of oil and then kicks it flies thought the door a in to the building Argis tosses the bomb a huge explosion that rips apart the building…
Thanks to Thanatos most of the men of the building come rushing to Syrant and Thanatos. Syrant takes out his gun's and slowly begins to spin them. He paces forward slowly. Men rush out and begin to surround him. The group of men all raise their guns. Syrant shows no emotion on his face as this moment he just continues to spin his guns. Then Syrant begins to toss his guns left and right, catching them then spining them around some more. The confused guards look at each other. Slowly their guard is dropped. Then Syrant made his move. As his right gun lands in his hand he jolts quickly to his right shooting the closest guy in the neck. Syrant pushes off the dead man's body and grabs hold of the next closest guard. The men begin to open fire. Syrant takes the guard and uses him as a shield as Syrant quickly shoots down half the group with perfect shots. He drops the shot up corpse and looks up to see the remaining men, about four, have began to run away. Syrant raises one gun and aims.
"Not today..."
With that Syrant shoots. One man hits the ground and not even a second after that a second man hit the ground. The two remaining men are now stumbling to run away. Syrant shoots again killing a third man. One man was left, Syrant watched as he got farther and farther. When the man reached the top of a hill he stopped thinking he was safe. Syrant stared at the man and aimed his gun one more time.
"Good target practice."
Syrant pulled the trigger. The bullet flew and struck the man between the eyes. Syrant reloads his gun and looks over to the building to see Whitakker driving out with the gasoline. Suddenly Syrant sees another vehicle, similar to the one Whitakker is driving, begin to give chase to Whitakker. Syrant walks slowly in the direction of Whitakker as he drives out near him. Syrant raises his guns at the approaching vehicle and takes aim. As soon as Whitakker drove by Syrant shot. The bullet made perfect contact to the front left tire of the vehicle. The vehicle quickly lost control and crashed. Two men crawled out of the wreakage. They both didn't last long as Syrant shot them both before they could do anything.
"Well I've killed everybody that I've seen today so I've done my part."
He looks over at Whitakker.
"Lets go find the others."

Argis walks along to find men running every where a fire catches to everything. Argis walks in a detached mind state a works out of pure reaction. One man charges an Argis he makes a stab Argis grabs the knife and turns it around to pierce the man’s throat. Then Argis deals a hard front thrust, the man is sent flying in to two more attackers.
one gets up and spins around two Kusari-gama(a combination of a sickle (short scythe) and a long chain with a weight attached to the end of it.) He throws both at Argis. Argis doges the first then grabs the other in the middle and pulls causing the weapon to spin in to a semi circle. The next thing the man fell over as the point separates his spine.
The other gets up and pulls out his Automatic gun he aims and fires. Argis takes cover behinds a wall to find a handheld can of oil Argis thinks fast as his shelter is being worn away by the gun fire he takes a strip of cloth and puts it in to the hole then stick it up a bit as a spark falls and lights it Argis rolls it out the man steps over it and laughs then the small fire hit the oil the man flies in to a wall (dead).
Argis gets up and starts to walk again still holding Mina’s dead body. He walks farther to see Thanatos dodging a man then pulling out one of his blades and stabs the man in the side of the neck the man falls.
“Hello Thanatos”…..

Thanatos nods leisurely in Argis' direction, his gloves and overcoat drenched in the assorted blood and gore of nearly a dozen men. Instead of staining or remaining in one place, however, the grisly fluids are slowly sliding off of Thanatos' outfit to splatter on the soil beneath his feet. Within less than ten seconds, the android stands completely unsoiled.
"None have yet escaped the compound. Resistance has ceased, and the remaining thieves are undoubtedly hiding in the barracks and guardhouses. Assist me in hunting them, if you are not too burdened by your load."
With this Thanatos begins a purposeful stride across the center of the Bloodied Blades headquarters, leaving behind a mess of neatly sliced corpses. During his walk he once again draws his mammoth pistol, neatly loading it before replacing it within the folds of his overcoat. After this he removes from within the overcoat a second pistol, which he loads in the same manner. This done, Thanatos flips both of the massive devices into his hands, smiling icily as he steps to the wall of one of the wooden barracks that has so far resisted attack. Its doors have been barred shut. Thanatos' visor flashes for only an instant before he speaks once more to Argis.
"Eight individuals present and hiding, weapons trained on the entrances and windows. All armaments are projectile weapons, with only two carrying a secondary melee weapon. What a disappointing challenge..."
The assassin lowers one of the sleek black pistols, the other still held in a vertical position.
Narrow spread of twenty, initial explosion at fifteen.
Death incarnate is heard for a second time this night as the soft sound of released air is heard, followed a fraction of a second later by the horrible splintering of wood as a three-meter hole suddenly materializes in the wall of the barracks. A millisecond later, screams and assorted cries of distress are heard as the tiny bodily fragments of two particularly unlucky thieves suddenly rain down on the remaining thugs present in the chamber. Thus less than a second after the pistol unleashed its destruction, two gigantic holes are present that create a bridge through the middle of the structure, a fine layer of blood and flesh covering everything within the barracks.
In a lightning action Thanatos reholsters the depleted pistol, shifting the still unused weapon to his left hand as he moves swiftly into the decimated barracks. Before the screaming men are even aware of his presence, the android has already killed one remaining man with a dagger that appears to have transitioned instantly to the unlucky Syndicate member's neck by itself, bypassing Thanatos' hand altogether. The speeds involved are truly frightening, as much inhuman as superhuman.
Thanatos' remaining pistol levels itself towards one side of the barracks where three thieves are only now beginning to register his presence, the android's expression growing momentarily grim as he sees their shocked and frightened expressions.
Wide spread of one-hundred sixty, initial explosion at three hundred.
For the third and final time death incarnate is released, countless microscopic blades instantly slaying the three targets, scattering their bodies into literally thousands of bloody bits. More blades continue on their paths of destruction, completely disconnecting one end of the barracks from its base, which will surely lead to a collapse of the entire structure.
Undeterred, Thanatos spins on his heel to confront his remaining two opponents after holstering his second pistol, the men splattered with the blood of their comrades and only now fully registering the frightening nature of the assassin in front of them. This is a mistake.
Seeming to move out of time itself, Thanatos runs swiftly towards the first of the two men, loosely-balled fist striking the Syndicate member in a central pressure point of the neck with the force of several freight trains, impact slaying him instantly. The final thug has finally caught on, the first bullet from his venerable handgun striking the wooden floor where Thanatos had been present an instant earlier.
And so the android closes the distance to his final adversary, timber and assorted wooden paneling breaking apart around him as the entire barracks groans from its structural loss, only another second away from total collapse. Thanatos' brain moving like lightning, the assassin tears a razor-sharp splinter from one of the wooden debris, slashing it almost lazily across the last thief. His death is instant.
Throwing the blood-soaked instrument down, Thanatos begins a breakneck slide, propelled across the rough wooden floor by the thin sheen of gore that has collected there. Diving through one of the two holes created by the initial blast of his pistol, Thanatos rolls neatly to a standing position, turning regally to watch the final remains of the building crush themselves to the ground.
Sending another leisurely nod in Argis' direction, Thanatos idly brushes a piece of saw dust off of his overcoat. No words are necessary.

Argis sees a man running towards than Thanatos. With a gun pointed at his head he pulls the trigger. Argis sees Thanatos already aware of the bullet Argis reacts by throwing up his sword hitting the bullet to fall. Argis drops to the ground and throws his gravelling hook and throws it flies out. Hitting the man in the stomach he falls back. As he it falling Argis jerks his wrist causing it to curve behind the man, and falls to the ground spikes up the man fall on them *dies*. Argis then sees more running from a building collapsing from fire Argis spins causing the hook to release its victim and fly towards the group of men. It hits their feet and quickly wraps around them the are pulled together. One pulls out his grenade pulls the pin Argis reacts by snapping him wrist causing the rope to wrap around the mans hands holding the grenade in the man hands. Fear hits all of the men’s eyes it go off killing all of them. Argis stands up
“what a waist on both ends my gravelling hook and those men’s lives.”
Argis stands to see Whittaker driving a car heading towards them.

What had only moments before been a fully functional compound consisting of several dozen heavily armed thugs now lies in the grip of chaos and disaster, occupants dead and structures ablaze...
Making his way quietly amongst decapitated corpses and half-collapsed buildings, Thanatos watches without a flicker of expression as the final two remaining members of the once-proud Bloodied Blades scramble for the fortress' exit. Two cracking gunshots pierce the air in close succession, and the pair of thieves collapse just meters from the front gates. Thanatos' visor trails back to spy Syrant, pistol smoking as he stands beside the vehicle Whitakker has procured. Nodding profesionally in the gunman's direction, Thanatos shifts his path towards the two, Argis in tow. The assassin begins speaking as soon as he is in range.
"All of you have performed satisfactorarily. This site no longer poses a risk of MASS possession, and a more than adequate supply of fuel has been procured. It is now suggested that this area be vacated immediately--I have planted a Principle Charge within this compound's explosives storage room. There are approximitely forty-four seconds left before its detonation--I will drive."
With that the expedition departs post-haste, their vehicle screaming through the beckoning exit of the ill-fated facility. And just in the nick of time...
((Sorry for ending this thread without giving others a chance to post, but this will coincide with Kimato's entrance into the thread. I would also like to offer a special apology to Whitakker, for having written a wrap-up post only to have it deleted, and here I am doing one only two or three replies later. Kimato should be the next poster.))

The motorbike slices through the night air like an arrow heading for its unfortunate target, and Kimato squints her eyes against the onslaught of cold wind blowing past them. Her hair has long since come undone from its loose ponytail, and her cheeks are stained with red from windburn and anticipation.
"That looks like the fortress up ahead!" yells Dimitri over the noise of the motorbike. Sure enough, just over the upcoming hill there seems to be some sort of fortress...they are almost there.
And then something goes horribly, horribly wrong.
As the two adventurers reach the top of the hill, a noise like thunder screams through Dimitri and Kimato's ears. Forgetting to hold onto Dimitri for balance, Kimato covers her ears with both hands, shutting her eyes against the pain the sound brings.
Seconds later, she is almost thrown off the motorbike completely as a monstrous shockwave hits the pair. Kimato screams, grabbing Dimitri's arm just in time to save herself from being tossed, and looks up in horror as a the compound is engulfed in flames of brilliant blue. Even though they are still a good distance away, she can feel the heat from the fires, and the light burns her eyes so that she must look away.
Dimitri stops the motorbike, and Kimato climbs off shakily, forgetting him totally. Fairly collapsing in the dirt, she tries to calm her horrible shaking. Her breathing comes in short, choking gasps.
"C-can...can they have been inside?" Thanatos...Whitakker... Whitakker who reminded her so of Kyerie. Argis and Syrant?! Could it be possible that they had all died in that horrible explosion? They might have gotten out...but...they would be somewhere near, would they not?
She cannot move. She cannot speak. She simply kneels there, bathed in the heat and unholy azure light of the dead fortress, unsure whether to mourn, and unable to get up to search for her companions.

Dimitri looks straight toward the burning inferno with a shocked expression.
Holy crap. They better be alive, or I swear I'll kill them.
As he starts to gather his bearings, he sees Kimato on the ground. He runs over to her and tries to coerce her into getting to her feet.
"C'mon, Kimato, we need to find 'em They're still alive. They got out I'm sure They probably caused the explosion." Dimitri said rapidly in a shakey voice as he tries to pull Kimato to her feet.

Thanatos spun the open-topped transport through another harrowing turn, the vehicle's progress seeming to move at a crawl as another infinitely valuable second was wasted in righting the truck's trajectory. The Traderoad leading away from the compound was difficult to navigate at the best of times; to navigate the twisting path successfully barreling along at top speed while in the midst of pitch blackness was nearly impossible. Bodies collided and barrels of hastily secured gasoline bumped dangerously into each other as the vehicle continued its breakneck escape. All of Thanatos' thoughts were focused on the current task--the range of the Principle Charge was extreme, and the waves of force it would undoubtedly produce complicated the situation even further. For the first time in a long while, Thanatos was having fun.
Time was now truly almost up. Seconds drifted by--ten, five, three, one...
And then the count was over.
The sky behind the speeding truck exploded, hungry blue flames stabbing out in every direction to devour all in their path. A wave of tremendous force slammed into the expedition's vehicle, lifting its back tires from the ground and almost causing the entire thing to flip. Sounds of screeching metal filled the air, overpowered only by the roars emitted from the fireball that now blanketed the entire complex.
Then, just as suddenly as it had started, it was concluded. The truck righted itself, the shockwave moved on, and fireball began to die just as quickly as it had suddenly blossomed. Thanatos brought the smoking, strained transport to a stop, lithely leaping from the driver's seat to watch as the remaining blue fire disentegrated all that remained of the Bloodied Blades' fortress. It was several seconds later that he noticed Kimato and Dimitri on the crest of the hill behind him...

Barely hearing Dimitri's words, Kimato nevertheless forces herself to stand. Breathing deeply...if still shakily...she squares her shoulders and steels herself for whatever they may find. Facing the remains of the fortress, she is surprised to see that the fire is considerably smaller, leaving behind a few greedy flames to lap up the rest of the ill-fated fortress.
A moment later, her surprise is redoubled as she beholds a vehicle at the foot of the hill, stationary, but not deserted. There are people...men, as best as she can make out. Their forms are very familiar...
One of the men turns, the fading firelight gleaming in his white hair and reflecting off his....
visor.
Immediately, all her previous anger at the android rushes back to her, spreading like cancer through her entire being. The anger is even more potent now, with the added worry and grief she'd felt, and the inexplicable humiliation at having acted in such a way when they were all perfectly fine.
Dimitri must have noticed her stiffen and clench her fists, for his hand, which has not yet left her elbow, tightens slightly, and he tries to say something to calm her down. His attempt, however, is drowned out in Kimato's angry outburst.
"THANATOS!!!"
Jerking her arm away from Dimitri with a force that slightly surprises even her, she begins a slow, carefully controlled descent down the hill towards the andriod, her fists clenching and unclenching and her face dark with rage.

At Kimato's bellow and the subsequent the beginning of her descent, all of Thanatos' divided thoughts and attentions are suddenly focused into one very angry young woman. A black-gloved hand automatically moves towards the folds of the Thanatos' overcoat, the assassin's visor already seeking out Kimato's jugular...
No.
Thanatos stills the unconscious defense reaction, allowing both arms to drop loosely at his sides. Steeling even his own miniscule portion of humanity against the storm that is soon to come, the android prepares for a battle many times more difficult than the one that has just been fought.
Lady Kimato's heavier step and shift in tone of voice is most likely attributed to a substantial surge of emotion, logically stemming from her exclusion from the expedition just concluded. Utilization of any form of reason or logic will be difficult, and the individual in question will undoubtedly speak on for some time. Passivity is the only possible course of action.
And with that Thanatos patiently awaits Kimato's arrival, features set in an expression of absolute neutrality. The immediate future looks grim indeed...

Finally reaching Thanatos, Kimato raises her still-clenched fist, and strikes his face with all the force she can muster.
Immediately, pain shoots through her hand and up her arm, and she draws back her fist, staring at it in mild surprise...but she does not cry out. Blinking back the stubborn tears that come to her eyes, she grits her teeth and stares up into the face of the andriod, her usually calm face twisted into an expression that suggests she would very much like to kill him.
She does not appear to care that Thanatos was unphased by her blow, and she raises her other hand, slapping him hard across the face, ignoring the pain, not quite as bad as that in her fist, that throbs in her hand each time it makes contact with his expressionless face.
"What," slap, "in the world," slap, "did you think," slap, "you were DOING?! I am a member of this group just as much as any of you. And regardless of how worthless you seem to think I am, I committed myself to this just as you did. I travel with the lot of you, share meals with you, and help wherever I can, or am allowed. I am not a child that needs your care and protection! If I wanted care and protection I would not be travelling with a group of crazy, violent men to the Ruined City on a half-baked mission to save the world!"
Her hands are fiery red by now; they look as if they might bleed, and her breathing is ragged. Her face is as pale as ever, save for two bright spots of color in her cheeks, and her hair seems to writhe about her face in her anger. Then, to the horror of all standing by, Kimato's eyes fill with tears and she collapses on the ground in a rather pathetic heap, sobbing.

Thanatos remains silent throughout the entire affair, even obligingly twisting his head in response to her slaps to make the blows appear at least somewhat painful. As Kimato falls to the ground Thanatos' visor follows her, face subtly shifting into an expression at least vaguely sympathetic as he speaks in a deathly quiet voice.
"It was not yet time for you to die, Lady Kimato. All of the individuals of this expedition were well-practiced murderers, and more than a few lives have been taken this night."
At this Thanatos gestures leisurely in the direction of the compound's ruins. The superheated flame has already almost fully died, burning the entire complex to ash. Any objects or mortal remains have also subsequently been devoured by flame, leaving nothing more than a fine layer of black in their place. It is unclear if Kimato even notices the gesture--in her grief, she appears deaf to the world.
"MASS will be soon arriving in this location in force; it is rare for a piece of the creature to be destroyed, and rarer still for a segment of MASS to be isolated entirely, unable to relay its perceptions to the organism as a whole. It is highly advisable that we vacate these premises with all possible haste."

When Dimitri sees the same sight that caused great rage in Kimato, it likewise creates a very different emotion in him.
I'm screwed
Dimitri takes off full tilt downhill toward his companions. On the way down , he takes a shortcut Kimato did not:
He trips on a rock.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" Dimitri howls as he tumbles head-over-heels down the slope. As he stops at the bottom of the hill, sprawled out at the feet of Thanatos, he looks up and brushes his blonde hair out of his eyes and stares into the visor of Thanatos. As he gazes dizzly at Thanatos, he can tell that he's in trouble.
"Guess I've some explaining to do, huh boss?"
