Argis rode off with Mina.
"We now have our entire life ahead of us."
Mina replied, "Yes, we will live long."
"We're almost to Tonas..."
Mina said, "Good! I was getting tired of riding on horseback."
They rode to a small ocean village called Tonas. The two then go into the village, Argis saying to Mina, "I'll be back in a second--okay?"
"Okay, but hurry," she replies.
Argis jumped off of his horse and then walked into the inn, making his way up to the innkeeper. "I would like a room."
"Okay--that will be five kilograms of gold," the innkeeper replied. Argis payed and turned around to hear a scream. Argis ran out to see the familiar form of Mass, called "The Replicators". Argis grabbed the bag on the side of the horse and pulled out his gun--in seconds, his gun collapsed into a crossbow. Argis loaded the clip and fired, the bug exploding into pieces. In seconds, the pieces shot back to one point and regenerated. Argis fired again, and it exploded, but regenerated again. Argis called for a shotgun; a man from the shadows tossed one. Argis caught it and shot the bug--it exploded and did not move.
Argis smiles, "Well is that all? ...huh?" A weird mechanical noise sounded and Argis turned to see a large number of Replicators running straight at him. Argis' smile faded, and he then heard the scream once more. Argis turned to see Mina fighting a Replicator. Mina sliced with the Aegisite knife Argis had given her, the bug going limp as she kicked at it. Mina dropped the knife and watched in horror as the hole she had made in the bug repaired itself. The bug struck with a leg and Mina fell.
Argis screamed, "Nooooo! Mina!" Argis ran over to her, picked her up, took her knife, and hopped on a horse and kicked it in its sides. He bolted off, trampling the bugs. Argis held Mina tinightly in one hand, and the mane of the horse in the other. Argis looked behind him to see the pure metal wall of the city eaten through with the Replicators' mouths. Argis rode off, continuing to ride after a few hours.
Suddenly, a sharp pain stabbed Argis in the back, his vision blurring as he fell. When he opened his eyes he saw Mina standing over him, smiling. He looked and saw metal cords around his body.
"Mina...what is this? Help me."
In a metallic voice she replied, "Why? I can kill you here..."
"What? No..." Argis noticed a metal scar on Mina's leg and a swarm of Replicators pouring over the hill. Argis struggled to break free when a shuriken hit under Mina's feet and exploded--another hit the metal cord. Argis grabbed his sword and ran only to be picked up by a man riding a glider--Argis looked down at Mina to see her stand up and brush herself off, tears in Argis' eyes. After a while, Argis stopped looking and asked, "Who are you?"
A familar voice was heard, "Your spy. I am sorry about Mina, but their battle went well, but it was odd how a clearly dead monster got back up. Where do I drop you?"
Argis saw in the distance a small village and a huge manor. Argis grabbed his pistol and used the scope to see shadows in the windows. "Drop me there," Argis pointed to the gate, "and fly low."
They dipped low enough to touch the ground--if they moved a centimeter more they would be ripped to shreds. They closed in fast and rose over the gate and then dropped instantly. Argis droped off and rolled to his feet, brushing himself off.
"I have come back and that is all you need to know now."
