Okay, here are some excerpts from a book I have been working on for some time now. At one point, after writing several chapters, I actually tossed the whole project and started over from scratch. I couldn't sleep last night and did a lot of work on it, so I decided to celebrate by releasing some of it...in its baby stages, of course, to someone I thought might care a little. So...don't disappoint me. Care. Read. Reply. Do not infringe on copyright laws...or I'll infringe on that one about murder.
Note: The excerpts are not in any particular order. Just excerpts. Lol.

Excerpt One
Dear Diary,
Today in Driver's Ed, Mark and Tyler had a laughing riot about "emo kids."
" 'I think I'll go cry and cut myself," Mark said in that mock-retarded tone he loves to use when he thinks he's being real clever. "Stupid emo kids."
"Yeah," added Tyler, always the faithful lackey, "and then I'll go write a song about it!" Mark apparently thought this was hysterical.
I just smiled and tugged my sleeve down a little further. Stupid emo kids.
Excerpt Two
Dear Diary,
My dad's insane. I don't come out of my room after he gets home. I can't always block out the noise, but I'm fine if I never come out. If he can't see me...I don't exist.
But, God, I hate to hear them!
Excerpt Three
Dear Diary,
Adam says I look tired. Asks if I'm okay. I told him I'm fine, just haven't slept too well lately.
It was the truth. Who can sleep with all their racket? Who would want to? There's always the chance he might remember that my door's there.
Nona doesn't talk to me anymore. Probably something to do with Seth. Bryce and Jon don't ever ask me to hang out, either. It sort of feels like a slow, painful death. Or like hanging from a rope, watching your nemesis fray the thing slowly with dull scissors. You know it would be much less agonizing to let go, but you can't make yourself do that, because you want to hold onto life as long as you can. That, or you're hoping for mercy. Either way you're screwed.
